Sustainability tools

We developed 3 sustainability tools which address various stages of a corporate sustainability journey, from the development of an approach to its assessment and improvement.

Our sustainability tools:

  • SDG approach for companies willing to start implementing SDGs or aligning their existing sustainability approach to the SDGs – 360tool 1.
  • The assessment of an existing sustainability or SDG approach and its integration into a company management cycle – 360tool 2.
  • The assessment of the integration of SDGs-related risks into a company existing risk framework – 360tool 3.

A. Align your strategy with the Agenda 2030 – 360tool 1

Our starting points are the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) a set of 17 goals and 169 targets, a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030 and the UN Global Compact , a principled framework for businesses, stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.

To put sustainability at the heart of an organization’s strategy, we follow eight steps to align its path towards social and environmental responsibility:

  1. Benchmark
  2. Stakeholder mapping
  3. Materiality of sustainability/SDGs issues
  4. Commitments
  5. Policies and procedures
  6. Objectives
  7. Measure and monitor
  8. Impact dashboard

B. Have your existing sustainability approach assessed – 360tool 2

This 360tool analyses the degree of SDGs implementation along a company management cycle. Eight assessment criteria (2/4/6 points) are showing the level of understanding, implementation and integration of prioritized SDGs into a company business strategy:

C. Have your sustainability/SDGs risks integration assessed – 360tool 3

Sustainability/SDGs-related risks are increasing

Over the past ten years finances and reputation of companies have been more than ever impacted by sustainability challenges (pollution, product safety, child labor etc.) and investors are increasingly focused on sustainability/SDGs issues as there is a growing evidence of the link between nonfinancial and financial performance. This 360 Assessment tool is based on Enterprise Risk Management, Preliminary Draft Report, WBCSD/COSO, 2018.
