Impact measurement tool
We developed an impact measurement tool that manages and optimizes the process of creating non financial impact on society and the environment.
Develop a set of impact measurement tools – 360tool 6
Our framework entails three steps: (1) developing an impact management process, (2) designing the impact value chain, and if applicable (3) leveraging the impact process in the context of social funds.
1. Setting up the impact objectives and impact management process
The impact framework measures the non-financial impact of an organization on society and the environment, as a contribution to sustainable development. It is meant for companies, social ventures, funds and foundations.
Based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the framework uses its targets and indicators combined with external indicators, such as GRI, IRIS and others.
360impact develops measurement frameworks tailored to each organization and context, that draws on Impact management principles of EVPA and Kellogg Logic Framework.
We use lean data and market intelligence. Improvement of technology, data collection and innovation are at the core of our work.
01 Setting objectives
- Defining overarching social problems
- Setting SMART impact objectives
02 Analysing stakeholders
Understanding stakeholders’ needs and contribution to impact:
- Stakeholder identification
- Stakeholder engagement
03 Measuring results
Transforming the objectives into measurable results through an Impact Value Chain using a combination of indicators (e.g. SDGs, GRI, IRIS)
04 Valuing impact
Identifying impacts with the highest social value through qualitative and quantitative methods (lean data)
05 Monitoring & reporting
Collecting data and tracing progress against indicators, objectives and reporting
2. Designing the Impact Value Chain
The objective of impact measurement is to manage and optimize the process of creating social impact by transforming objectives into measurable results through an Impact Value Chain using a combination of indicators.
3. Leveraging impact process in the context of social funds
360impact also develops impact measurement frameworks tailored to the context of social funds that are built into the investment process and measure its non-financial impact contribution.
These frameworks take as it starting point the SDGs and use its targets & indicators combined with other indicators. The frameworks measure the impact at two different levels, at the venture and at the fund levels.
